Cycle to Work scheme is a UK Government tax exemption initiative introduced in the Finance Act 1999 to promote healthier journeys to work and to reduce environmental pollution. It allows employers to loan cycles and cyclists' safety equipment to employees as a tax-free benefit, with savings of up to 42% off the cost of a bike!
Furthermore, from June 2019 the Cycle to Work Scheme no longer has a £1000 upper limit meaning higher priced bikes as well as electric bikes can also be purchased through the scheme!
